Citizenship Test & Interview Prepration
In order to become a Canadian citizen, you must meet certain requirements:
- be a permanent resident
- have lived in Canada for at least 3 out of the last 5 years (1,095 days)
- have filed their taxes
- pass a citizenship test
If one of your parents is a Canadian, then you may already be a Canadian citizen. Children under the age of 18 do not need to meet these requirements and become a citizen at the same time as their parents.
