Language Test Equivalency Charts
Passing a language proficiency test is a necessary step in the immigration process. Depending on the immigration stream, points may be awarded after conversion to the Canadian Language Benchmarks.
These are the recognized language proficiency tests: CELPIP, TEF, TCF, and IELTS. Reading, writing, listening, and speaking are evaluated and assigned scores. For immigration to Canada under the following streams, it is necessary: express entry, skilled worker, and provincial nominee program.
